Following the training course "Offshore Wind Value Chain" held on November 18–19, 2025, in Vung Tau for participants of the Petrovietnam Future Leaders Program 2025, the Institute for Smart Energy Applied Research (iSEAR) continued its advanced specialized training program for key personnel of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) on December 18, 2025, in Hanoi.

    The program was directly  instructed by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tu, Deputy Director of iSEAR, focusing on two core pillars of the offshore wind value chain:

- Investment considerations and offshore wind development.

- Grid connection and Operations.

    The curriculum provided an in-depth analysis of critical issues, including: project capital structure and financial efficiency evaluation; risk management in offshore wind development; technology configuration and maritime technical-construction requirements; grid connection strategies; and long-term operation, maintenance (O&M), and performance optimization models.

    The program not only provided specialized knowledge aligned with international best practices but was also tailored to Vietnam’s strategic energy transition context. This offered senior management and leadership a comprehensive perspective to facilitate the effective planning and implementation of large-scale renewable energy projects.

    Petrovietnam’s continued trust in selecting iSEAR as its partner for intensive training programs underscores the Institute’s professional capacity, practicality, and strategic advisory role in the renewable energy sector. This is particularly significant in offshore wind—a field that demands the complex integration of maritime operations, energy, project management, and investment finance.
