IEA Global Energy Policies Report

Overview

The Global Energy Policies Hub aims at mapping key energy policies around the globe, compiling over 200 key policy types from 84 countries, and catalogues over 6 500 energy policies to provide a clear snapshot of actions and state of play detailed by sector.

It captures regulations, spending programmes and trade policies by bringing together regular updates from the IEA State of Energy Policy series. More in-depth, tailored policy collection and data-driven analysis can be found on the Clean Energy Innovation (G20), the Critical Mineral (49 countries) and the Methane (92 countries) policy trackers.

The types of policies listed in this Hub do not entail the full spectrum and complexity of each country's policy framework. It rather aims at providing general trends over key national and international policy metrics commonly shared between IEA countries and emerging economies.
